While I'm a financial guy who has generated billions of dollars of shareholder value, it is the innovative leadership that led to those results for which I am best known.

I love the challenge of adopting big contrarian ideas and aggressively leveraging them to create a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The idea of using our electrostatic capacitors for energy storage is just the kind of big contrarian idea that excites me. And today, GBL is poised to leverage our technology in the most efficient, forward thinking and environmentally friendly manner possible.

Never a stranger to a brilliant idea

A dreamer at heart. I’ve spent my career finding answers to what were then believed to be unsolvable problems.  In recent years, GBL's team has focused on solving the twin paradigms known as Energy Density and Power Density.

Forget about working in laboratories in search of the last decibel. That was nowhere near as exciting as what we're about to bring to the world in the form of nearly Instantaneous Charging and so much more.

Sure we have incredible goals but we have one of the best scientific teams I’ve ever worked with. It’s not just a dream anymore.

OUR STORY

These are the moments that have defined us as a company.

2014 – GBL is founded.

2015 - Capacitor power density and storage theories were postulated.

2015 – 2016 – The theories are deemed sound but manufacturing readiness is not at required level for transition to next stage.

2017 – 2018 – GBL goes to the lab to prove our theories with the production of game changing foundational materials.

2018 – Theories are proven and multiple nanoscale prototypes built.

2019 - Breakthrough Thin Film Capacitors verified at National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD.
